Students are learning colors in Spanish by listening, speaking, and writing Spanish color words. Ask your child to name some Spanish colors around the house!
Kindergarten and first grade girls enjoy playing a game called "Dress it Up," which is a Spanish board game designed by 6th graders Marielle, Nicole, Karyn, Francesca, Savannah, and William. The game teaches Spanish vocabulary related to body parts and clothing.
The Kindergarten and First Grade classes made "Casas" out of Shrinky Dinks to raise money for Haitian earthquake victims. The students used this opportunity to practice colors in Spanish. The proceeds will be used to build a real "casa" for a homeless family when Señora Girman goes to Haiti in January!
